Silver Collagen Dressing McKesson 4 X 4 Inch Square Sterile
Advanced wound care dressing made of collagen, sodium alginate, carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), and silver chloride (AgCl)
Topically applied wound dressing transforms into a soft gel sheet when in contact with wound exudates
Maintains a moist wound environment at the wound surface to aid in the formation of granulation tissue and epithelialization
Facilitates natural wound healing - EDTA and collagen target and deactivate elevated MMP activity
EDTA in the dressing is intended to help maintain dressing integrity
Silver chloride in the dressing is an effective antimicrobial intended to prevent colonization of the dressing
Intended for management of full- and partial-thickness wounds including pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, ulcers caused by mixed vascular aetiologies, venous ulcers, donor and graft sites, abrasions, traumatic wounds healing by secondary intention, dehisced surgical wounds, and first- and second-degree burns
Dressing may be cut to fit the wound size or layered to manage deep wounds
Dressing change frequency - daily (or possibly up to 7 days depending on wound type)
Should not be used on third degree burns or on patients with a known allergy or sensitivity to fish-derived collagen, silver, or any other ingredient
